The foliage could be mistaken for bitter cress, but is un-mistakeable as Cardamine when the delicate double pale lilac flowers emerge in April. Also, has some medicinal and culinary uses. Exceedingly versatile - we suggest using in a sunny border or container. Perhaps in a meadow garden as this variety is known to attract wildlife. Prefers full sun, or partial shade with free-draining soil or compost. A hardy plant which will survive normal winter conditions outside, especially if protected from the worst frosts. Height & spread 20 x 20cm. Flowers April – June. ***Please note that the pink flowers & feathery foliage in the photograph belong to the Cardamine (not the dense foliage in the background).
