Ceratostiga willmottianum 3L
Always very late to leaf up in the spring, this wiry stemmed shrublet makes a wonderful contribution to the front of the border with vivid blue flowers through summer through late autumn. Sometimes not showing any growth at all until late May, so don't dig it up by mistake! This is the hardy plumbago, similar to Ceratostigma plumbaginoides which is more upright and with rounder leaves. Both need a sheltered position in well-drained soil. Hardy & easy if given the drainage it needs.
