Common Name: “Hybrid Bee Delphinium”
Delphinium 'Double Innocence' is an English hybrid type with very strong stems and vigorous growth habit. In early summer, spires of large, heavily petaled, pure white, double flowers with a white (sometimes greenish) bee stand up to 4' tall, adding a dramatic presence to the landscape. Removing spent flower spikes may result in another round of blooms on secondary spikes in late summer and fall. However, its large, coarsely textured leaves make this plant attractive even when it's not in bloom.
