Ferula communis 9cm


Foliage plant which looks like, but not to be confused with, a giant culinary fennel.  Short lived perennial which is purported to die once it has flowered. Large cow parsley-like umbels of yellow flowers are borne from late spring to summer on the tops of the stems which arise from very fine filigree foliage.    Frost hardy                                                                Ht.  2 - 2.5m (6-7ft) Spread 1-1.2m (3-4ft).
