Daylily. Free flowering, evergreen perennial with narrow leaves and slender scapes. Dark blackred buds open to star-shaped, velvety black to deep red flowers in early/mid-summer. These are young plants which will flower in 2012. Flowers are approximately 10cm (4") across, with recurved tepals and green throats. Overall height 70cm (28"). spread 60cm (24"). Fully hardy. Very special, free-flowering variety which is not always available. Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun.
