Umbelliferae. Genus of summer-flowering perennials, ideal for informal gardens and back of borders. Fully hardy, preferring sun, but will grow in semi-shade and any well-drained soil. Upright, architectural perennial. Small, white star-shaped flowers are borne in large, flat heads, one above another. Has very finely divided mid-green leaves. Very gardenworthy and fairly easy to grow. Ht. 1.5m (5ft) Spread 60cm (2ft)
