Wonderful structure for formal gardens emanating strong 'presence' which is good for flat gardens with not a lot of character of its own. English yew topiary will need clipping twice a year to keep the shape properly. The ones offered here are 1.8-2m tall (6-7ft) English yew has been grown for centuries and is a good traditional plant found often in church yards and in grand English country gardens.
Yew likes poor stoney ground in which to be planted and dislikes waterlogged conditions immensely. Becuase these plants are expected to stay dark green and immaculate, they need a twice yearly feeding of high nitrogen content fertiliser. Granular fertiliser is recommended, as 'wet' manures will encourage fungal diseases.
