Acer palmatum Atropurpureum 5L READY JUNE 2025


One of the taller acers and with beautiful dark purple foliage; a good foil for contrasting colours and silver foliage.  Foliage turns brilliant red in autumm.  Ht up to 8m in 10-20 years.  This acer is not fussy on soil type, but a sheltered position in part shade will be a good start.  Too much sun in a hot and dry position may burn the leaves.
