Red feathery plumes from June to August,  on this hardy herbaceous perennial.  Ht 2-3ft (60-90cm)  Planting distance 12-18" (30-45cms).  This species need moist soil and at least half-shade as they dislike being in burning sun all day long.  Associate well with iris and primulas, and look good in pondside planting.  Hardy & easy
