syn. Elephant's Ears (because of their large leathery leaves) Low maintenance, evergreen groundcover which will grow in full sun or shade.

Particularly striking cultivar with bright magenta red flowers on scarlet red stems in sprng.  Hardy & easy.  Good for border edging or en masse in a difficult area.

After flowering, dead head the plants and trim off damaged leaves after winter.  Cold weather will turn the foliage red.  Will grow in all soils.
