Covid-19 Pandemic (and its affect on deliveries)... With most people isolating at home in recent weeks we have received an unprecedented number of orders for plants. Please note that although we are doing our absolute best to get orders packed and despatched at our normal rate, there may be substantial delays in delivery. To avoid plants sitting in warehouses or hot vans over the weekend with no light or water, we do have limited days that we can despatch. We normally despatch every Tuesday and Wednesday but can now include Monday as we are currently working Sundays to help get deliveries out. Couriers are under enormous pressure to deliver ordered goods with some services being withdrawn as they simply can't cope with the volume of parcels they are receiving. We now have to take huge parcels to the post office ourselves for example (which isn't very practical in small, rural post offices) for slow processing rather than having goods swiftly collected for example. This we hope will be short-lived and that normal service will be resumed soon. Very Important message: All of our deliveries are sent on a 1-3 day guaranteed service. However, due to the on-going epidemic and huge demand for their services some couriers are removing any timescale guarantees (but still charging at the usual prices). We will always seek the honoured Guaranteed service where possible but it must be understood that all orders from 30th May 2020 are placed at the customers risk. We are not in a position unfortunately to replace plants that have suffered in any way due to delays that are beyond our control. We have found most packages reaching clients in a timely manner but have recently had packages delayed which obviously isn't great for live products of any kind. Feel free to contact us to see how smoothly the deliveries are flowing anytime. We shall try and update here as often as possible. If you are patiently waiting for an order to arrive we would like to thank you for your understanding and will endevour to gat your plants to your garden a.s.a.p. Normal Delivery Guide (before Covid-19) Notes Plant Providers charge for delivery at cost price, which is based on volume/weight and speed of delivery. We do not profit from delivery charges in any way and do not charge a handling fee. Plants can be very awkward and time consuming to pack, especially in late Spring and Summer when the foliage is growing taller but always packed with great care. To keep our prices down we often use second-hand packaging. Please unpack plants carefully on arrival and water the compost (roots rather than foliage) if and when necessary. If you are sending a gift, please let us know when ordering, so that we can use the tidiest packaging available. Please feel free to contact us regarding any special requirements. Any special gift wrapping will be at additional cost. If plants are damaged in transit, complaints must be made to the nursery with 24hours of receipt. If the box is damaged, please indicate on the delivery note which you sign saying; 'contents unchecked within damaged box', and also email us to let us know the extent of any damage. Please take photographs of damaged plants/packaging on arrival if possible as this will be our only proof to the courier that the box/contents have been damaged in transit. Our guarantee is limited to the replacement of any damaged plant/s with a plant/s of the same variety ordered. No claim can be made where damages are not reported within the time-scale mentioned above as the couriers will dismiss any claim made outside of this. We will not be held responsible for the negligence of others. As with all sales, Terms and Conditions apply. Full details are available upon request. Please allow 7-16 working days for stock items to arrive. Especially sourced items may take longer. To prevent stress in transit, we usually pack plant orders on a Monday ready for Tuesday despatch. We use a 1-3 day delivery service which ensures plants arrive at your chosen address by the weekend. If you need your plants in a hurry or by a certain date, please contact us to discuss any requirements that you may have prior to ordering. If we have problems in sourcing any plants ordered we will email you as soon as possible with further details. We can not be held responsible for any delays in provision of non-stock items where third parties are involved. |
