More ornamental than the ordinary Fatsia japonica, having deeply divided leaves making it look more tropical and giving another texture to a mixed border. Hardy in all but the hardest winters. Give shelter by planting next to a wall for protection or amongst other taller shrubs/bamboos or similar. Part shade appreciated. Ht to 8ft (240cms) approx. Apparently this plant is as tough as old boots once established but adds such a tropical feel to your garden that it's worth the space allotted to it.
