Lysimachia clethroides AGM 1L READY MARCH2024
Also known as Loosestrife. AGM. Hardy herbaceous perennial of spreading habit. Erect stems bear alternate, narrowly ovate-lance-shaped, pointed leaves to 13cm (5") long. These are mid green on top surface and pale green underneath. White, saucer-shaped flowers are produced in dense, tapering, terminal racemes, 10-20cm (4-8") long which are pendant before opening. The flowers become more upright as they open and develop arching tips as they mature. Overall height will be approximately 90cm (36") and spread 60cm (24"). Prefers humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that does not dry out during the summer months. Full sun or part shade. May need staking.
