AGM perennial. (syn. P. littoniana).

Old fashioned favourite. Eye-catching, dense spikes of crimson buds, opening to violet-blue flowers above clumps of lance-shaped, mid-green foliage. Suitable for cool borders, waterside, woodland edge, banks and containers. Prefers part shade and moist, well-drained soil. Flowers late Spring to mid-Summer. Height and Spread approx 45cm x 30cm (18" x12").

Water well before planting and until established.
