Portuguese Laurel.
Much nicer leaf than common laurel and a nice dark green.  Good screen plant which is very hardy.  Evergreen shrub/tree which can be trimmed to stay in a formal shape for hedging , or left untrimmed to be more natural.  Will grow into a tree up to 5m x 5m if left to grow naturally.  White flowers in late spring - bees love it.
