Lavender varieties vary a lot with flower colour, height, and habit. All need good drainage and full sun and all need trimming when flowers fade. Trim down to 8" on the 8th August each year - this is quite a foolproof way of keeping a good shape. Another trim after second flowering is a good idea to encourage fresh foliage which will look good through the winter. Flower heads are good for pot pourri.
Roses are grown as groundcover, shrubs, or climbers - and have been listed together and in their separate categories for ease.
Roses are grown as groundcover, shrubs and climbers/ramblers. Climbers are repeat flowering during the summer months. Ramblers generally flower once only in June/July with many smaller flowers covering the whole plant. The roses are listed as a whole and in their own category for ease of finding them quickly.
