new name Hylotelephium 'Autumn Joy'  syn. Sedum 'Herbstfreud'.  Part of the stonecrop family.  Hardy perennial forming a substantial clump of stout, sturdy stems.  Leaves are succulent pale green, but this versatile, good-looking plant reliably produces pink flowers during July to October, giving a vibrant splash of colour to the late summer garden.   The colours fade until they dry out which attracts the birds in the autumn.  Its thick succulent leaves can store water, so that it can tolerate drought once it is established.  Ht approx 45cms.  bushy habit.
