A classic favourite hedge, giving a long-lived and hardy screen with dark green foliage.  This hedge will be wind and drought resistant and will grow in most soils as long as it is planted in moist but well-drained ground.  It will grow in full sun and in shade and can be clipped to the desired shape as it grows.  Yew keeps good colour all year round, but does need feeding in its formative years.
