Outstanding AGM perennial. (syn. V. patagonica).
Scented, small purplish-blue flowers on wiry, branched stems above mounds of coarse, dark green foliage. Suits sheltered, sunny borders. Requires well-drained soil. Flowers early Summer to early Autumn. Height & spread approx 100cm x 60cm (40" x 24"). Really good 'designer' filler for back of borders.
Water well before planting and until established. Protect in Winter. Save some seed as guarantee for next year's plants, or take side cuttings which will funnily enough go through the winter better than the mother plant in our experience.
